If assuming you purchased and received the correct mounts. You may have a turbo fwd or awd front or/and rear bracket. Make sure if you have a 345 front bracket, a 193 or 926 rear bracket and a 826 or 093 driver's side bracket like the pics below.... See more

Yes, they still are a good company. I've been doing a business with them more than 10 years and still keeping in touch with them almost every week. It's just they don't have many DSM parts in stock now, not like Extreme PSI. So some orders could... See more

Let's avoid posting hearsay if we can. I hate seeing rumors getting spread based on what people have heard. Either way, we've seen a lot of people having issues. Hope to see STM get things sorted soon if they're short staffed or having... See more

DSMPT replied to the thread 1G Throttle body options.

I run the Q45. I really don't see the issues you mentioned. Maybe some cons are the stock shaft seals like Mustang's, you should reinforce them for high boost. and you wouldn't have the stock ISC unless you use an aftermarket adaptor. I have no... See more

DSMPT replied to the thread The importance of a timing job when buying a used DSM.

If so, it’s a miraculous story.:thumb: This is about theory and personal preference. Similar to hydraulic lifters vs solid lifters. If you would set it properly, the solid tensioner would "theoretically" perform better especially at high RPM,... See more

DSMPT replied to the thread 1G Eagle Rod Bolt Stretch issues.

Are the bolt new and you using a stretch gauge? If so, you don't need to worry much about the torque number. The stretch method is the best way to do. It's all set when the stretch numbers get within the specific range. If the bolts are used, I... See more

DSMPT replied to the thread The importance of a timing job when buying a used DSM.

Maybe it was a sort of temporal homemade solid tensioner by locking the dead auto tensioner's rod and put tension by the tensioner pulley. Otherwise it was really miracle that pistons and valves didn't hit each other. And yeah that's right,... See more

DSMPT replied to the thread The importance of a timing job when buying a used DSM.

Welcome back. Is the tensioner still working or dead? It's a kind of miracle that nothing bad happened while doing WTO pulls without tension on the timing belt. Maybe it was a homemade solid tensioner for avoiding to buy a new before selling the... See more

You would want your small end weights close to each other and the same with thee big ends, not necessarily the overall weights but the ends are more important and in doing that you would get the overall weights pretty close by default. See more

It's ideal but it's not super necessary to run. As @1990TSIAWDTALON Marty said you wouldn't probably feel any difference. But if you believe to build the engine often and want to properly weight balance each time you build, get a rod balancer... See more
