u wAnt something cheap then get a 240 and then get a 5.3 u can get then with harness and accessories for around 500 to 600 bucks and viola...u can even put a small cam in it and get it tuned and make 320 or more depending on cam.....cheap fast and i promise it will drift cause we built...
me and a buddy do powdercoating on the side and we have done several things in so called chrome....we explain it as a polished silver more then chrome. there is a liquid spray that is the same basic process as powdercoating but its alot more expensive....im not sayin it doesnt look good but it...
id say you would be ok because since it is a fresh new motor tere is no carbon build up on the rings yet and if the motor was sealed up then the chances of needing new rings is slim. if it was mine id do like bogusSVO said and re prime the motor with fresh oil then i would just normal grandma...
yea no one on this board has the strenght to break a arp head stud ahahhaha unless u got a 20ft breaker bar and a mack truck maybe lol. just pull like hell man. pb blaster wont hurt the motor and wont do anything anyways because of the oil that is already there but its worth a shot. best of luck...
from what it looks like the compressor housing looks like my 57 trim turbonetics for the dsm. and the exhaust housing looks like my greddy t88 on my supra cause of the bolt pattern but i gotta say the comp turbos look like good turbos. i guess if i got a good enough deal on one id try it out.
yea you cant put 6 bolt rods on a 7bolt crank. as for ring gap i set mine at factory cause mine is a daily driver to kinda and also i am running npr pistons and rings and it didnt come with a sheet.
ok iv never had this problem before. usally mine just slide off then i slide my new one on. waaaaalaaaa its done lol. i can make a video for you guys but it might be a little complicated cause it will be all of 7 seconds long lol.
i would say a set of 280's would be sufficient and go ahead and get v3 full and some 1150cc injectors or so. 1mm oversize valves with matching springs retainers and locks to your choice of cams.
