would also like to mention the 88 ohms of resistance on red and black at ecu to red and black at data link connector was measured with battery and ecu removed from car. red and black wire definetley has a issue to be sorted out. thanks again
yes, my mistake in the original post, solid blue is 12volt power to ciggerette lighter. check this out, on pink wire in obd2 to pink wire in ecu i poke my test leads in there, DVM beeps and shows half a ohm of resistance. ok, thats normal, poke test lead into red and black at data link and than...
no, i havent check the ground yet, i do have a question, red and black at the data link connector, that traces back to be red and black wire at the ecu no? when i use my volt meter on continuity test mode, i can poke a lead into the pink wire at data link connector and poke lead into pink wire...
High guys, long time member, first time posting in awhile. Heres the run down, 97GSX, 6bolt, ecmlink, blah blah blah, i was using the 12volt plug (ciggerette lighter) with a emergancy tire air pump to inflate a friends tire, tire was pretty flat, kept at with the lil air compressor that was...
^agreed, if you wanna be sneaky and have a turbo "rear mount" style, ok, no problem, but the charge air pipe to bring the boost up to the engine will be retarded. a sandwhich plate on the oil filter housing will be needed to run oil (or maybe a T off the factory oil dumby light sensor location)...
I have only half a rear seating section so no one can sit behind me  but thats no where as cool as the guy above me tho! nice job man! :hellyeah:
The only time I use a solder tip or a solder iron is on delicate things, very sensitive areas. Other wise I just use a mini torch. Go to any place that sells toolls and they'll have a minit orch set for sale. It runs on buetane lighter fluid. Will include screw on tips and adapters and a buncha...
ya man, I always do the "crimp & solder" method vs's just solder only or crimp only. The non insulated connector allows for a trust worthy strong connection that your not ever gonna have to worry about, the filled with flux and solder insures that its a full-blown wire to wire connection, then...
