High EGT is a good indication that you're ignition timing is being retarded. Excessive timing retard comes from knock. Knock, if real knock as opposed to phantom knock, comes from either not enough fuel or excessive base timing and/or timing advance (from biggie injectors). Do you have a logger...
If it's truly pk, then retarding timing will not get rid of it, however if you find out that retarding timing reduces pk, then most likely you have real knock. Good luck.
I have the TSS camber kit on my daily driver and it's holding up fine after 3+ years of use. On my racecar, I did something similar except welded two, 8"x1/4", thick steel bars (from home depot) on the front and backsides of the upper control arms. I can send pics to anyone who's interested...
topnotch:The EMS will only be as good as the tuner allows it to be, so make sure you read as much as you can in the AEM EMS forums (http://www.aempower.com/) before you decide to purchase an EMS. If the discussions are way over your head and far from your grasping ability, then the EMS is...
YES...big turbo + big intercooler + AC ON will most likely lead to overheating engine temps.Just as a precaution, look into super duper stage fiddy-billion cooling fans, radiator, and lower temp t-stat.
If it was creeping to 20 psi and holding, then setting to 20 psi should be okay. Make sure your fuel, tuning and intercooling can support your boost setting before you boost that high.
go with oversized valves and big ports...Either cam choice would be good, but you'll definately need to upgrade your valvetrain. Ferrea NA springs would be my first choice. You'll have to shim the Crower spring kit to get enough seat pressure for those cam profiles.3 angle is fine.
Ben,Will the new exhaust manifold allow for the same o2/downpipe configuration as the old AGP/SFP manifold? What about performance gains from the old manifold vs the new one? Are you offering a warranty against cracking?
...yes...yes, but if you do and you're still getting relatively high knock, then either you're running lean, have too much timing, or it could possibly be phantom knock.possibly.. check your lower intake pipe for oil. If you see oil there, then it's likely that you have oil in your IC...
What headstuds do you have, ARPs? If so, follow the instructions that came with them: 80 ftlbs w/the supplied moly lube, or 120ftlbs with 30 wt engine oil.
