You're going to have to replace the hard line that the banjo bolt runs through. With the age of these cars you'll have cracks that the eye has trouble seeing. Replacing the banjo bolt itself isn't a bad idea either. Should cost you about 25 bucks for everything and you'll be all set.
I'm not happy with the placement options for doing the battery relocation on my car. Maybe some of you guys have already done this "mod" and could throw up a picture on where you put the battery? It's for a 1996 Talon TSI (FWD).
Thanks guys
I've heard rumor of a company out there making a 2G SSMIC LICP. Wondering if anyone else has heard the rumor or knows of the company...?And after an hour and a half of reading through posts via. the search, I decided to just post the question.
Alright, I'll give you a topic. You're removing the lug nuts from the rim. You get 4 of them off then disaster strikes. The fifth lug doesn't want to come off the stud very easily. In fact, it likes the stud soo much it causes it to break free of the hub and free spin. So now you have a...
A good way to pin point a leak is to spray soapy water around the questionable area. If you are leaking, it will make the water bubble. If you've done any work to the TB lately it's a possibility you put the gaskets on upside down. This will cause a huge leak. Let us know what you find.
Your best bet would be to search in our Tech/DIY Secion, or go out and buy a factory service manual off of ebay. It's not a very difficult task, however it's one that you'll want a full understanding off before trying to tackle.
Easiest way to check if your oil pump is working without tearing the engine apart is to take off one of the fittings for the turbo feed line. If oil comes out when you crank it, your oil pump is good.
Better safe than sorry... the tensioner applies the correct amount of tension, so there is no tightening needed. Something on a DSM that actually kinda works. Weird huh?
Just follow your manual and you'll be fine. If you're unsure of whether your timing marks are correct throw a pic up and...
I'm lazy and don't feel like reading every word so I'll just go from here...
The 6 bolt swap/2g head combo isn't difficult at all. There isn't much info, I agree and I appologize. I've been meaning to make a write up about it but things have kept me from doing so.
I'm running exactly that in...
No, it's still stuck :) Thanks Defiant.Everything was going well with the drill until I got pretty deep on the stud, then it started snagging the bit and spinning. Ended up causing the bit to break. I'll have to goto the store and replace 'em now...Rick, thanks for the advice. I had the...
So basically, my easiest option is to heat and break huh? Well, I'm good at breaking things, although it usually only happens when I'm trying not to... hmmm...
Thanks for the replies.
