Thanks for the reply. It's for my big turbo stroker. Was just trying to trap a big higher in 4th. Sounds like I should just stick with the 3.545.

    3800 rpm in 5th gear @ 60mph?

Hi there, Have just put my car back together. I blew the centre diff out of my last gearbox so I found a replacement that was out of a drag evo (we have evo 1-3 here in NZ) with a welded centre. All is fine and everything works - however the revs seem way higher than what they should...

    Help - transfer case dowels

Thanks - I managed to find some dowels exactly the same from a hardware store, which was suprising. The mitsi part number is MF472405 which states a 10mm x 20mm dowel.Gently tapped them in and good to go.

    Help - transfer case dowels

Hi there, Just swapping out transmissions. The new transmission I have has had the transfer case dowels removed. Can the transfer case be run without these dowels or do they help alignment under power. How important are they? Here is a picture of the old transmission that I removed...

    Drag chariot

Here is the damage:Block surface looks ok but not sure about this bore. I'd rather use another block and start again but don't have a workshop at the moment (I'm doing this in apartment parking building) so will throw it back together and see what happens. The above turbo was a thrust...

    Drag chariot

Last time at the track was December 2019.Engine was tuned to 320kw @ 23psi on E60. Best run was a 12.41. This was full trim, with spare tyre and sub in the boot on 18" low profile rims at 32psi.Here's a video of the 12.41 (sorry for the poor quality). I certainly need some more seat time...

General 1G CAS with 2G crank sensor

Hi, I have a Mitsubishi Chariot, similar to a 95-96 2G dsm.It has the cam sensor on the intake cam and the crank sensor on the crank. I've installed HKS cam gears that don't have a provision for the cam sensor.I have a 1G CAS I'm going to install and have a link G4+ ECU so can invert the CAS...

    Help - Crower 64414 degreeing

So just to confirm, according to the card the events are as follows:IO = 8° ATDC IC = 24° ABDC EO = 33° BBDC EC = 15° ATDCIf this is correct they put the negatives there just so you can add events together to get duration? Seems extra confusing.Thanks.

    Help - Crower 64414 degreeing

Yeah I keep thinking I must have made a mistake with the 15° BTDC and 15° ATDC for the exhaust closing event. I'm confident it was 15° BTDC though - I measured the exhaust cam first, then went and did the intake cam, then went back to the exhaust again and got the same thing both times. This is...
