update.. car is running again after what i posted of what i put in. I volt tested everything and i had a current running to every metal surface . So we just the battery posts both had power but when i touch the grounds running to the neg post. It was dead current cleaned them up tighten down and...
does anyone have any advice on this guys. I am stuck and I don't no what to do next so far I have replaced the main and alternator fuse I put a new ground from the intake to the firewall. the old ground was fired and melted . And still I have nothing no power to anything no head lights no dash...
ya it shut off on my my ground was fried and burnt new ground new main fuse new alternator fuse nothing ;/:banghead: i have a 96 wiring harness but i have a manual 96 and my tsi is a 97 auto both are fwd as well. could i use that :hmm:
update found a fired ground wire running from my intake manifold. was burnt and broken replace it wit a new ground new main fuse and alternator fuse . still no power nothing :barf: ....Any thoughts on what to do next ???
so you guys think i fired my main fuse then? we are going to replace both the main and alternator fuses tomarrow. Any clue as to the cloud of smoke that came from the hood. I mean there was smoke even in the interior somthing idk its puzzling even worse as i had to leave it parked on the street...
ok i was driving my tsi . Today after letting it warm up etc since it hasent been driving in awhile. Well i have the heat and the cd player going i leave the stop light hit a little bit of boost to keep up to my buddy's tsi i let off the throttle and i look down and notice my car is off WTF...

ok well i just picked up a 91 talon es nt. Had some battery issues got it resolved cross fingers :pray: .But my issue i am having it seems to sputter lack power hesitant the whole nine yards. Only seems to do it in between 3-4 gear sometimes in 1st when i leave .It seems if i try and go over...
haha so your are saying to run 10-w30 then it does go away afther a few mins of warm up about till opt temp somtimes.If its crabby it will do it a little longer but if i kinda hold it at about 1500 rpm it goes away as well when its warming upl. :hmm: thoughts ?
