Ive put in dozens between 1gs, 2gs, Evos, and VR4s. I always use a cherry picker on one of the bolt holes for the shifter linkage. Its almost a perfect balance and the trans goes in quite easy.
I had all my stuff missing after the upgrade but my pictures. My contacts came back after I checked the box to sync contacts. For the apps, I found out I had 2 email addresses. I apparently put in what I thought was the right one which ended up being an empty account. The other account had all...
What fluid are you using? Mine was reeeeaaaaallly noisy with Redline (forget which one I was using of the top of my head) but switched to diaqueen LSD oil and it was 90% quieter.
Here are the combinations Ive tried on my 95 which happens to have ~425-450ft-lbs of torque in auto-x configuration with 275 v710s.Stock - Its a pain to put any power down. Pulling out of the corners was basically all wheel spin. Understeering under heavy throttle unless thrown sideways but...

Guy 2 - I aint richYou don't see as many DSMs anymore cause they just aren't supported as much. The go fast parts are all there but the chassis themselves are getting old, loose...
I may have some pics at home of it. Ill have to try and remember to look tonight. The cooler is a two pass cooler that just loops around with fins for heat dissipation. Best part, it cost about $12 to make since I already had the rivnuts and rivets.
I had boiling steering fluid issues for years, though I didnt even have the stock cooler in there anymore.I fixed it by modifying a PS cooler from a ford Aerostar. I just had to make a couple cuts to the mount, bend, rivet and it was perfect to get mounted to the space where the AC condensor...
I got an old school HKS cat back. Its got a small 2 3/8s section to connect to the factory cat but goes to 2.5" IIRC. Ill have to go to the garage to measure it but its brand new. Came with my VR4 but they have to be hacked up a bit to work so I getting something else.
My talon was daily driven by me, and now DD'd by another with 700/350 springs on koni yellows with a full prothane kit and home made DG style upper hats. Autocrossed that car and tried a ton of different rates and it works very well with that setup. Though its very limited if running stock...
I almost picked up a non-sunroof GSX from a buddy for a steal but I really didnt want to switch to non-abs. We have a lot of wet events and it can really save your a$$ on those days.Looking for a non-sunroof chassis, I ended deciding on moving to the Evo to run in BSP.
Yeah, Ive had the Koni/GC setup since 2004. They aren't the softest shocks around and wont give a plush ride but they can handle some beefy spring rates for years. I think mine are now starting to get a bit weak but still haven't started leaking. I made my DG style hats, not sure if they made me...
As has been discussed, Ksports can not support the spring rates needed for a 2g not to mentions the very questionable valving to begin and dubious adjusters. At that price point Koni/GC WILL be faster.
