  1. PLX SM AFR Wideband Installation (need help)

I just picked up an SM AFR and am a little confused as to where I should splice into the ignition for power. I removed the steering column shroud but was unable to determine where to splice in. Can I run the supplied wires through the firewall and connect to ignition in the engine bay somewhere...
  2. JNZ Quarter Panels

Morpherex, please elaborate on your post. Do you mean there is an alternative to welding?
  3. JNZ Quarter Panels

I need to replace the rear quarters (as well as the rocker panels) on my 1990 Talon and would like to know if anyone has bought the panels fron JNZ. They appear to be the entire panel and I would like to know if this would be an "easier" method rather than cut-out and fabricate a new piece to...
  4. Please identify control arm.

Thanks for the info. The axle is very loose. Would this cause a hesitation in forward movement ( mostly 1st and 2nd gear)? Is there anything else I should replace while I am at it?Thanks
  5. Please identify control arm.

Pics are not the greatest, but can someone please identify the control arm (or is this the front axle) being pointed at. It is the front drivers side arm that goes into the rotor housing. When turned, the wheel grinds quite badly so I am quite sure the whole arm needs to be replaced.All...
  6. NO power after 4k ahhhh

No, I really did not notice anything abnormal on my board like some people have. The diff. however was very significant for me.
  7. NO power after 4k ahhhh

I did fix my prob. by replacing the ecu. The caps were leaking and causing various problems. Hope this is of some help.
  8. Oops...Fuel pump install screw-up

Thanks guys, but I ended up getting a new fuel pump assembly from the wreckers then put the Walbro in it. Went much smoother this time.
  9. Oops...Fuel pump install screw-up

I was installing a Walbro 190 today and over-tightened the pos. terminal nut on the pump itself (snapped the bolt off). I was able to solder the wire (with ring terminal) to the pos. post but I can't help worrying if this is sufficient inside the tank. Can anyone give me some insight please...
  10. NO power after 4k ahhhh

cas (cam angle sensor). I bought the ecu socketed along with DSMlink from FFWD for approx. $800 but you can purchase the ecu seperately. If you take out the ecu you may be able to tell if the caps needs replacing. Here is a link on how to do this http://www.tmo.com/howto/ecu1g/caps.htm
  11. NO power after 4k ahhhh

lilkoreanboy;I had similar symptoms that I tried to rectify with new plugs, wires and cas. After reaching my wits end I replaced my ecu and that solved my problem. Just something to consider.Good luck.
  12. installation of evo III 16g

Go to http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html and search under turbo 2g intall. Good instructions there.
  13. intercooler

Can anyone let me know if a small pinhole in a FMIC will effect performance a great deal?. I plan on running a EVOIII 16g with no more than 20lbs boost and would like to know if the FMIC would handle this. The IC is rated at 655 cfm and has a 25 x 7 x 2.8 core. Thanks for the info.
  14. 4g63 sounds like a diesel???? lifter problems?

I had a similar sound coming from my car a few years ago. It ended up being a cracked exhaust manifold and 3 broken ex. man. studs causing a large boost leak.
  15. Shipping items to Canada from U.S.

This is a brokerage charge used by UPS. Very expensive. Try to have items mailed from the U.S. via USPS then you pay a flat rate of approx. $5 cdn + taxes. Some vendors use only UPS so shop around.
