Have had some fleabay D/S rotors that came with "ceramic" pads on my car for about 35K. Price was $290 for all 4 corners pads included at my door. As said above I get the occasional overnight dusting of rusting, but I stand by them that I feel like I've gotten more out of that $290 than anywhere...
Using a tubular exhaust manifold on my setup. Yeah the 2g intake manifold would be a bit better than the 1g but I'm working on a setup for a Cyclone manifold and I will have the head port matched to that manifold. As for which gaskets will be different, pretty much anything on the block. So...
Having the solenoid plugged in? I don't believe so. I turbo swapped my 1g and have a solenoid zip tied to a bracket near my ecm and plugged in just to keep the light from coming on. Doesn't seem to effect how the car has run at all.
Classifieds? Craigslist? Another random DSMer that has one laying around? Junkyards maybe?
You obviously don't need it to function, you just need to make the computer feel like it's still in control long enough to pass the inspection.
Retyped for easier reading.1) Cooling System: Radiator cap and thermostat replacement can never hurt. Also I would get the flush done sooner rather than later if you are driving the car now.2) Cruise Control: Sorry, removed mine for a straight throttle cable, wanted bettercontrol and...
Currently have a 2G head on my '91. All of the 1G parts like manifolds, fuel rail, etc bolted up perfectly no problems at all. The problem I DID run into was that I was using ARP head studs, for a 6-bolt. I learned after trying to set the 2G head over the studs that it didn't fit, they are...
+1 MAFT wont be enough to support a good E85 burning car. I would HIGHLY suggest getting some better tuning software like DSMLink where you can map out everything to make sure it's running just right.
If you have the one that you took off, just plug it back in to that pigtail and leave vacuum setup the way it is. Your ecm is just seeing it has no connection to the sensor, so just plugging it back in and clearing the code should solve your problem, at least to get it inspected.
Well to be perfectly honest, I would say Step #1 would be to get this car away from you *ahem* "friend" as you said's garage. It doesn't seem to be doing you any good, and quite a bit of bad to your wallet. After that, if you don't own tools, get some. You will get your use out of them, I...
:thumb: Well said. That what I was trying to get across also. Let's help him diagnose his problem. Not just rattle off things to replace that MAY cure it, or MAY leave you scratching your head and spending more time with a poorly running car.
Try going to the Apex'i website and see if they have a wiring diagram avaiable for your particular unit. I have a Greddy Full Auto Timer that I happened across with the same problem. Found the full owners manual on their site for download.
Yeah there's a few Subies around, but I think I've seen 2 notable DSM's the entire time. One a nicely done AWD 1GA Talon, the other a bone stock 2G GSX.Otherwise, it's like the family-size bag of skittles where I'm at. They're decent guys, just not my car of choice.
+1 Same situation here. I've had it with not being able to drive it during school so I'm bringing it to my school in about 2 weeks. I'm stoked about having it here. Expecially since most of the "rice" around campus are almost all Skittles and... :barf: fart-canned Civics.
