Anyone here run without a BOV?

isn't one of the main reasons for a bov so that when the throttle shuts an excessive amount of pressure isn't applied to the throttle plate. I've heard of people bending throttle plates like this. however if it was a race vehicle with no lift to shift I guess that wouldn't be a problem as far as...

    hybrid 4g64 / 4g63 head timing confirmation

so basically the length between the crank and cams is what is determining where the timing marks need to be. I need to degree them properly according to the timing card because variances in how much has been removed from the block and head change this by slight amounts but because I have...

    hybrid 4g64 / 4g63 head timing confirmation

no the original timing mark on the adjustable cam gear did not come out well on the picture so I highlighted it with a sharpie . from other research I did on here the exhaust cam is supposed to be advanced one tooth when using the 4g64 block with the 4g63 head but I am not sure why and wanted...

    hybrid 4g64 / 4g63 head timing confirmation

just want some confirmation on how these timing marks are lining up on my 2.2 4g63/4g64 hybrid with adjustable aem 4g63 timing gears. if I read and looked at pics correctly the exhaust cam should be advanced 1 tooth correct. I was also wondering why exactly this is done and since I have...

20 psi with stock injectors and fuel pump?

sounds like fuel cut. do the fuel pump rewire at least, probably need a bigger fuel pump and afpr. when using search change the part that says "Post body and title" to "title only" helps to refine your search. searching fuel pump rewire like that will get help you more than the link I currently...

Still having grinding problems with transmission

sounds like a good plan. hopefully you'll just need a clutch kit. im thinking the throwout bearing is whats causing most of your problem but you'll most likely need to get the trans out to properly find and fix the problem. Best of luck and post the problem/solution when you get it. :thumb:

Still having grinding problems with transmission

sounds like you probably need to pull the trans and inspect the clutch, throwout bearing, flywheel, as well as the shaft the clutch disc rides on. thats where it sounds like the problem is to me. you could also get a stethescope possibly from a parts store or tool store like sears or harbor...

Still having grinding problems with transmission

have you tried to put your hand different places on the transmission while its making the noise to see if you can feel where exactly the noise is coming from. would also try touching the end of fork while it's making the noise. if they clutch fork is easy to press down like that i would think...

    Free clutch pedal travel

it doesn'tlook to me like your pedal is making it all the way to the floor. at about 1:30 it doesn't look like that second switch is being touched by that plate/bracket or whatever you want to call it. measure the distance the pedal travels from the bracket/switch that it contacts when the...

Couple of issues I've been trying to tackle with no luck

If you know you have these problems fix them first, then see if an issue still exists. i suggest pulling the plugs. while you have them out do a compresion check doesn't take long and can point out other possible issues. fact is could be something simple or something more severe causing this...
