Thank you. I guess my search didn't find them because they don't have "gasket" in the title. This thread...http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cylinder-head-short-block/420289-felpro-mls-o-ringed-head.html...was very helpful.
I've searched the forums on head gaskets but can't seem to find a straight answer on what is the best head gasket to go with if you have an O-ringed block. The engine specifications that matter are:7-bolt, 10.5:1 compression, 40-50 psi, O-ringed block.
I am looking for a vendor who currently has the following Spark Tech system in stock:Spark Tech DSM/EVO 1-3 PRO CDI COP
Model: COP-DSM12FThis is not the one that extremepsi.com sells. If anyone has advice on who might sell that product, please let me know.
I had a loud squeaking noise coming from the engine, and I thought it was a belt. The belts are in good shape and plenty tight, and then I noticed the drive pulley was wobbling. I traced the noise to this. Then I thought it might be a bad harmonic balancer and searched some threads on here...
Great thread, good info.I have a Precision Industries billet torque converter, recently installed. Kigley flex plate, TCU reprogrammed. I don't build boost until close to 4,000 rpm, so I was in desperate need of a higher stall. With the stock torque converter, I could stall up to 2,400...
Yes, stock intake, cams, and everything else from the oil pan to throttle body. Here is a link to the dyno sheet...https://www.facebook.com/robert.minieri?ref=tn_tnmn#!/photo.php?fbid=10151405009174212&set=t.1113444
Yeah I've been to Sinister Speed. They give so little information on their products they may as well just show a picture. I guess I need to contact them.
Does anyone have any personal first-hand experience with aftermarket torque converters? I've read about the IPT billet torque converter, but haven't been able to find much information on anything else.I know there are a lot of factors that go into torque converter selection, but the basic...
Not sure about the fuel pressure, but I know it wasn't lacking. I have 1050cc injectors and they were at 91% with e85. Technically I could go a little larger on the injector and get more hp, but I don't want to take the stock engine any further.
No doubt, no doubt. I know there are a lot of people who have had huge success with strokers. I just know that I can make the power I am looking for with the stock stroke, so that will be the route I take.Thanks. It's good to be back on here.
I feel like there's too much missing information to give an educated response other than guesses. Air/fuel ratio, knock, wot, tuning, etc. But, not knowing most of that, 260 whp with just 91 octane doesn't seen so bad considering how many unknown variables could be just slightly off, effecting...
I believe my turbo is good for about 650 hp. I'll be building for more than that, so an upgrade will probably be coming in the future. As for a stroker, I've been convinced they aren't really the way to go for serious power. They become a weak link when the larger stroke puts too much...
Thank you. I went to Sam Houston a long time ago and live in Conroe now, which is just south of Huntsville so yeah, maybe we'll run into each other.FIST Racing recently moved to north of Houston, closer to where I live so that was good. I was impressed with every stage of the build they...
