Now if only I had the broken piece! Unfortunately this is how I got the car so I would need to grind that down, find a junk block, Cut the casting off, and weld. Now to find a junk yard that will let me do that.....edit: A friend of mine is a welder and like any welder (or gearhead, really)...

Forgot about this thread! I removed the transfer case and the trans pulled right off. odd.pic's of that engine to trans mount that broke.

Now, has anyone bought a hitch mounted motorcycle rack? Because thats what I want. I don't want to tow a trailer behind my car, but I would like to save the tag and insurance money on another vehicle by just towing my 250lb dirt bike on the back of the gsx. I think that would require a 2"...

My buddy has the factory service manual. I'll take a picture of the casting tonight and put it up. I'm not TOO worried about it because i'm not going to be revving to 5k and dropping the clutch. But I'd feel more comfortable if it were fixed.

I might be a fan of them if they were rear wheel or awd. Personally, if I were buying a car that's in that class, it's be a cobalt ss or scion tc. I'm also a big fan of mazda but I don't know that I'd drive a mazda if it wern't a speed. Cobalt or tc ;)

This is a dsm forum so your going to be pushed to go dsm. The 4g63 is an excellent engine capable of producing great power on stock internals. They are cheap as hell to buy and mod. Weak point, transmission. Guess what a subaru's weak point is? You guessed it, transmission, ESPECIALLY the 04...

I would certainly get a rebuild from shep even with lighter mod's than what you have. The transmission is the weakest point on a dsm so that's where you should dump your money. Maybe go with the 4 spider instead of the welded since your going awd. More street friendly from what I've heard.Btw...
