Yeah over 20 timing on that boost sounds respectfull. I had 24 at peak on 16g with 8.5:1 currently peak at 15 with 10.5:1 and fp green around 20 psi. I would need new clutch to boost any higher as my current one starts to slip higher boost.

As a car painter i can also confirm that theres is simply no pain that will keep rust away if there is any to begin with.
You can use any kind of wash or rust primers but its just aid to keep it out of sight longer.
+1 to valve seals. Once there is more rpm this would not be so much issue but if its only idle itd be more prone to do it. If its not losing significant amount of oil tho it does not sound much of an issue yet. Checking out PVC valve is ok and that the valve cover breathing house is open too.
