Sounds like a problem I had. First check the wires that run near the EGR tubes. They are notorious for melting the wires and causing a handful of random problems. Inspect that thuroughly. If thats good you can move onto diagnosis. My specific situation was the cam position sensor. My symptoms...
Im a tech. Havent been there very long but nobody lubes anything on cars newer then E60 haha just thought the OP might like to hear that. Basically if it is not a newer car. I lube it
yes. there would be a ground in the original wiring harness that is specificly designated for the radio. But mostly everyone is right, You could just ground it using any of the screws that are touching the chassis
Not everyone who touches a car is exactly "qualified". There might not be a logical explination for why they did that. Id keep looking for a wire somewhere in there. From my experiance it should come from the same "bundle" of wires that the others came out off. Its possible they cut it extremely...
alot of people run guages ( boost, temp, oil pres.) off the cigerette lighter power and ground. I see no reason why you couldnt use it for your stereo. But there is already a designated constant 12v, Switched 12v and ground wire thats for your radio. You just gotta find it through the mess. A...
Im not saying you should do this. BUT I have seen it done in a tight money situation. Use compressed air to blow the piston out of the calipers, clean them with a wire brush and WD40 an slap it all back together. Im not sure it if is possible with our brakes but just thought id throw an idea out...
Id be interested to know what that relay on the CC connects too. Any body know? Also cant you just remove the whole setup an switch to a non-CC throttle cable. Thats what i was planning on doing..
You missed me by like 2 days. I could have helped you alot but its back in already. I do have an extra harness thats labled, if i get time ill take abunch of pictures for you.Heres a very breif explination of the routing. It starts behind the radio, then goes through the firewall on the...
I used the wiki and other searches but I just cant seem to lable this thing. Im in the process of tucking wires and vacume lines and I came across this. It has two vacume lines that go into it. One is from the intake manifold and the other is from part of the cruise control? (somebody help me...
Pulling the entire engine harness. Admiring the hacked up "wire nut" job some true profesional did. Deleted the POS water/meth injection. And delivered my head to the machine shop :thumb:
You need a $5 can of starting fluid. Then move to a 15 dollar fuel pressure tester. Then possibly a Multimeter. They will collectivly save you alot of time and money in the future
