+1 for fuel pump relay. 12v relay mod is the best mod ever. I wire tons of cars every week for swaps and it is the most reliable way for tuning without getting complicated.

Do you have access to a noid light? If you need a hand pm me. There is quite a bit you can do with a multimeter to start ruling things out.

+1 for new cover. They are prone to easily cracking/ breaking even when tightening them down if torqued too much.

Now is also a good time to build or buy a boost leak tester :)

Call felpro directly. Their gasket kits fit multiple makes and models and include extras. They will have the exact listing for what you need.

Mine used to do that when it got hot. Send it in to tom at ecmlink. Amazing turn around and great service. He can test and repair it.

Check the bushings/ assembly. They squeak too lol

A faulty waterpump will make a scraping noise too!

+1 for worn cylinder. As long as the lock is in the track, and the clip is on both sides, it should be in there solid.

How is the battery? Do you have 12 volts at the starter power?

Autozone has corrosion stuff, otherwise cut it off and order a new terminal. It is a somewhat universal part.
