    Holset Turbos, PART 6

I definately think I can run a better time. The timing is rather conservative on its current tune and I want to put the car on a mini diet and go with less gas. The gas is another thing. I think since I'm running grade 3 E85 (E77 for easier winter starting) it will help in June when we get...

Questions on my build. Help & Suggestions Please

Which ever way you decide to go make sure to do all your maintenance before you start modding. You don't want to spend all your money on performance parts and have your timing belt snap. If your worried about the head being off you could always get the motor rebuilt.

    3S vs GSX/TSi

Look at the amount of parts available for both and then make your decision. There are so many different companies making parts for the 4G63 that we can get competitive pricing. Try and find as many vendors for quality 3K parts and look at the prices.

    My plans :-)

The stock fuel rail is fine for a long time or until you hit really high hp numbers. And you could save some money by not buying the HKS BOV and just use your stock 1G bov. Also if your getting gauges make sure you get a wideband to use in conjunction with your logger to tune.

    My plans :-)

Why are you buying a new fuel rail? The stock rail is just fine for your needs. Make sure to do all regular maintenance before you start with modding.

starting my first ever dsm build

All you need is an electric die grinder and a carbide bit. Take the step's out and smooth the rest. Do a little searching to find out more info. It's not hard at all.

    [RESOLVED] 1g BOV

The 1G BOV is a good upgrade. Your stocker could be leaking even right now under stock boost. The 1G BOV upgrade will last you a long time. I would say get rid of the plastic pos 2G and go with the metal 1G.
