420A Rocker Arm / Camshaft Follower Interchangeability Guide

This is the end-all interchangeability guide for our rocker arms. You won't find all vehicles on any program or catalogue. Most searches will return a handful of applications, between 67 (Summit Racing) and 153 (Mopar themselves). Realistically, there are 472 interchangeable vehicle trims. It...

420A Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly Replacement Question

You had me curious. I happened to have an extra hub and a 3 jaw puller in the shop. It pulled off easily with an electric impact. I typically resort to the press because I have one and it's easy, but you can indeed use a 3 jaw puller instead of removing your dust cover or paying a shop with...

So what are you working on that’s NOT your DSM?

Very aggressively scrubbed off all that tree sap and pollen, which took a while. As I suspected, there almost isn't any clear coat left on the paint. The trunk is the best looking part on the car because I rattle canned it a few days ago to stop surface rust from worsening. It actually turned...

420A Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly Replacement Question

I used a hydraulic press to remove the ABS rings.

420A 420a Turbo goes on the Dyno tomorrow

That's fine for figuring your fuel delivery rate, but it isn't safe to assume the AFR. You don't know exactly how much fuel the engine requires under various loads. We used to call that spray n pray. Spray extra fuel and pray it doesn't detonate.

420A 420a Turbo goes on the Dyno tomorrow

In our transmissions, 4th gear has a 1.03 ratio, while 3rd gear is 1.36. That's why you saw a difference of 47 ft/lbs torque between pulls 2 & 3. The dyno clearly had not been calibrated for this. The results of the last pull aren't an accurate measurement. The higher ratio isn't just a torque...

So what are you working on that’s NOT your DSM?

I was too concerned to ever buy an OBX diff. I used the Quaife LSD which I acquired a few years ago, and shit they've raised the price now. In the past I purchased some OBX products and ultimately ended up buying the higher quality options after. So if anything they've cost me more money. It's...

420A 420a Turbo goes on the Dyno tomorrow

All this fuel talk is why I suggested you getting a wideband gauge a while back. That would truly answer your "I think it's running out of fuel" or "I think it idles rich". Regardless, I'm ready to see what you make next month and hear what you did to get there. :)

So what are you working on that’s NOT your DSM?

Eh, decided to already pull the cover off and drive it to the local gas station to fill up because why not. I added a can of CF5 to a full tank and put some miles on it. It runs much better now. I don't know what it is but Hondas can sit around forever and get right back on the road. After I...

That seems a bit low, but I remembered it's the stock ECU. That's your biggest restriction for now. Still not terrible though.

    Solomon's 2GNT Build ('98 RS)

Disassembling the Diamante spindles for sand blasting, I realized they are almost identical to the 2G drum brake spindles. Because of this, I will be using the 2G spindles to run my disc brakes. The caliper bracket mounts just bolt to the backside of the spindle via the hub bolts. Which will...

420A 420a Turbo goes on the Dyno tomorrow

There's a ton of variables that go into what that dyno will actually read, but I think 210whp is a little too low for 10lbs of boost. Not by a whole lot though. My guess is 237whp, and if I'm correct you owe me a beer lol . Also I'm not sure if the car is still with a convertor or not but I'd...

On the topic of covered fridges, I'm working on that. I covered the tool box first. There's a DSM on the top right corner.

So what are you working on that’s NOT your DSM?

Here's the $100 Honda. It's F22A equipped. And get this: I drove it to it's parking spot... Yep, with 3 year old fuel it starts and runs. Very rough at that, but damn. I may not have to drop the tank after all. The gauge is reading almost empty so I bet I can fill it with fresh fuel and do a...
