What did you use to plug up the water pump on the back side. On my 4G swapped FC, I welded up a u pipe to point it toward the radiator but never was really happy with it.
I've got this Precision exhaust housing found in my parts stash. I tried emailing Precision but they never returned my email.Hoping to build a new turbo for my 4g63T swapped Rx7.
So it leaked between the filter housing and the pump? Not the pump and the block? Can you take a straight end and a feeler gauge and check for flatness? Just to compare against stock? Might make you return case with Extreme stronger...
Don't feel bad, my 4g63 Rx7 has been sitting under a car cover for over a year because of multiple engine rebuild problem (2 cranks, 4 blocks, 5 different heads) and I'm still in need of a cylinder head to finish.Keep at it, it would be nice to see another one out there.
So it would be lower than 7.8?The other issue is this block was assembled with the dots point rearward when the Graveyard Motorsports says toward the front. https://www.thedsmgraveyard.com/Graveyard-Motorsports-Specs-s/822.htmWhen installing Evo 8 or 9 Pistons in your DSM Block, MAKE SURE...

I guess I'm glad I went RWD with a 4g63T platform. Knock on wood, I haven't broke a trans yet in my Rx7. Was breaking 2 a year with less HP previously. Still build them for friends with the stash of parts I still have, but parts are getting rarer and most don't want to put the cash in a DSM...
I would try getting someone to Tig it for you. To save some cash, You could cut all the pieces out, tack them with a Mig and send them to a welder to finish weld. Make sure your gaps are tight.
