If you want to know how much timing your engine wants, start reading your spark plugs. A new plug with a singular fresh pull on it will tell you if the combustion cycle is happy or not. It may be just fine for all you know. I wouldn’t worry about EGT’s until you have a fresh plug with fresh data...
I sand EVERY single head and set of caps I am servicing. I haven’t seen a head in over 15 years that didn’t have some sort of damage to at least one journal and cap.
In our FuelTech 2G, we are running the stock coolant temp sensor and FuelTech pressure sensors otherwise.I my own cars(non 4g63 stuff) I am running the GM coolant sensor and a mixture of FuelTech and auto meter sensors on one car (at the time FuelTech was in back order) and all FuelTech...
Yes. Stupid phone.I agree. That is why I said I highly recommend a crank and cam pickup. Our big boy FuelTech DSM car runs that. As is one I am putting together for another friend right now.
We use it with both a 12-1 Kiggly wheel and a modified 1g sensor with the Yoshifab trigger disc. The Yoshifab disc car runs the car sequentially with just the disc.I highly recommend you run the Kiggly setup if you want to run sequentially and have true clarity. There is a difference...

Time to breathe life back into this thing. This was the customer’s first car he ever bought. After chewing up the motor and getting above his head, the car has sat for 19 years. Time to modernize it and bring it up to today’s standards.
Depending on the ECU and sensor, you can indeed run an ABS ring. I run a FuelTech on my race car as well. The front of my car is a Chevy S10. I just both front and rear wheel speed for traction control. I use the front 52 tooth S10 ABS sensor and it is a fantastic signal. It is a 2 wire VR...
The Galant used a forced four box. I used an AEM 10 channel for my truck. You just split the signal if you need or have odd numbers. The Galant we just didn’t use the other two channels.Pretty simple. It is just wires. Everything was ran as staged but, we’re turned on pretty low. That seemed...
It was a problem spraying a lot of water on my Festiva. That was a little baby 1.3L motor. It had compound turbos and I was spraying before the low pressure turbo and the high pressure turbo. So it would flood the cylinders easily. I finally found the correct sizing through testing. The new...
