  1. power window wiring on race car 1g

Use 2 5-pin relays coming from the window switch. One provides ground, and the other provides +12v, and activating the switch one way or the other will flip the power and ground. One way is up, and the other way is down.
  2. Please tell me a build doesn't cost this much!!!

LOL. This thread is funny. I stopped counting at 30k.
  3. 1st Annual Metro Detroit DSM Meet?

Ended up buying e85 and e98 in 55 gallon drums.
  4. 1st Annual Metro Detroit DSM Meet?

I will try to bring my 92 Talon to Milan on the 14th if I can locate some E85 or E98 fuel. It would be nice to have a large group of DSM's together. bbender, Carleton, MI.
  5. Need help, what's with these rods?

Correct. Which is why I was asking the OP if he thought NPR were knock off. There is a company out there claiming to be NPR, only being made in South America. I was curious if he was talking about those.. in which case, they would be NPR knock offs..
  6. Need help, what's with these rods?

He was running NPR knock off pistons, or are you calling NPR knock offs?
  7. AEM EMS Users' experiences and comments (is it recommended?)

None of them were "difficult." You just need to go through before starting to define all the sensors you have. From there, I just copied and pasted the OEM map for either the 1g or 2g. Since ECMLink now posts the OEM Evo map, you may just want to start there. My personal preference is the...
  8. AEM EMS Users' experiences and comments (is it recommended?)

AEM EMS gets my vote. It's the only thing I tune now. If people don't have it and come to me, I tell them to get it and come back. It's not hard to setup. I'm not sure what the other people are talking about.
  9. tourque convertor question

I should also mention this applies to the 1g's as well. The non turbo 4g63 converters won't work with turbo ones because the non turbo ones had lock up clutches. The turbo ones did not until 95.To the OP, 95-99 Eclipse GST, 95-99 Eclipse GSX, 95-98 Eagle Talon TSi, 95-98 Eagle Talon TSi AWD...
  10. tourque convertor question

It will work, providing it is a 4g63 torque converter, not the 420a converter.
  11. auto rear diff in a 5 speed

Now you are just talking nonsense, and putting words in my mouth. I never said the stock viscous coupler is stiff. In fact, it isn't stiff at all.A 300 treadwear radial tire at 35-45 psi is still pretty hard, especially compared to a bias ply slick with 15psi. The driveline bind will slip at...
  12. auto rear diff in a 5 speed

Do you have a welded diff? You will know that the tire skips when you turn at low speeds with street tires. Now put slicks on it, you have the extra traction, and the tire no long skips. You know why? The differential is slipping. This is the exact same thing. The tires could skip if you have...
  13. auto rear diff in a 5 speed

Uhm no.I have seen (more than once) people forgetting to swap everything over, or using the wrong transfercase when performing the swap. The rear diff just slips, and generates heat.
