    yea, the transmission side is top shape and i cross checked the transmission s/n to make sure it was the original transmission, it is in fact a 97-99, i am unsure about the internal vss drive gear being original or not tho.also, the car drives perfectly and shift perfectly even when dead...

    well when i pulled the transmission I looked down in that hole and the gear looked fine from what i could see...as well as having no metal shavings or anything in my old fluid...

    no, tranny shifts perfectly...recently pulled it out of the car as well and everything is perfect as far as i can tell without tearing it apart...did a fresh fluid change on it as well

    exactly what i meant by "carrier bearing" and yes its when i make right turns lol...from my past experiences with my 1Gs it was always a dried out joint due to a split boot but everything is good on my 2g...

    ok so I just put my tranny back in my car and im starting to hear a clicking sound in my front driver side wheel sometimes when im turning...I inspected the boots when re-installing my axles and they were fine as well as the splines on both sides of the half shaft...what could be causing this click?

    no your right 12 would be way to big i was thinking of trying a 7/16 or 3/8...heli is also a good idea but i dont want it coming out if the sensor doesnt work...the sensor i have is from a 95 and the gear is slightly bigger...being as the car is new to me im not sure if the tranny is a 2ga so...
