man if you're going to open up a shop in the sacramento area, you should not only do tuning, dynos and dsm, but do actual mechanical repairs too and also open up to other cars beside dsm. look at Driven Authority, they seemed to be doing very well.
if i were you, i would just specialize in chassis fab because you can use that anywhere when you get out. just for that money, i wish i could have gone to a local community college to do automotives because alot of the other students came out, they were jobless for years, some even got desperate...
if that is so then go for it, one of my dsm pals went to uti and is now working at ford making $19 per hour and is flat rate, but from my experience, i think you will be better off doing interns at local small shops just to get the know how and use them on your resume and that will get your foot...
