you should do a compression check. when i had my 1992 talon i was having similar issues. it turned out that my piston rings were "washed" meaning, that the piston ring to cylinder wall gap was too large and gasoline was seeping down into the oil pan beside the pistons. you should check your oil...
i would like to get a lot of things off this car... radiator, turbo, possibly motor, maybe just some of the internals, intercooler, piping, blow off valve, headlights, some interior parts, fp intake tube.. so... we should be able to work something out. i live in auburn.

if you want that design to work better you'll need to notch the socket and sacrifice it.
when you compress the springs the "keepers" that hold the retainers in will pop off. you don't want to lose them.. so.... with the notched socket it will allow you to insurt a small magnet into the gap...
then end of next month is the hoodriver run. If this run is going to happen next month it should be within the first 2 weeks of it. just sayin...
