Hey has anyone done a lifter up grade? Are 6g72 lifters an upgrade? I’ve been looking for a while now just out of curiosity, and idk if I haven’t been wording it right but I can’t find any info, and my friends with 6g72TT engines aren’t that interested in finding out.
Well then I might just try and take on the task once my WRX is running and road worthy. I have not been for a ride in an evo, or an awd dsm ever, only a galant vr4 but briefly. So I’m curious as to how it matches up with my Subaru, because I fell in love with Subarus once I went for a ride in a...
Certainly that is actually one of the first things I learned about these dsm cars, is the floor pan being different. And honestly the awd swap is more of a pipe dream than anything, it would more logical to find a clean bright white 92 awd laser and just swap the front end.
I honestly don’t know what Plymouth meant with rs, but it’s still a very fun car. I had a 1990 civic base, I spent a lot of time and money making it a fun car. So much money to not make any power, but make it a really good handling civic hatchback.I will definitely fill it out, I’m always glad...
Thanks guys! I have to say I miss my old civic for sure, but as far as fwd cars go my laser is the most fun I’ve had in a fwd car. Ive yet to experience the beauty of the mitsu awd platform, but if it’s anything like the asymmetrical awd in my Subaru, I may covert my laser to awd. I know it will...
Hey guys! I'm new to the forum, and relatively new to the DSM world. I have done a lot of research on these cars, although I am still learning a lot about them. I started out with Honda platforms, and then moved to the Subaru platform, both platforms have taught me a lot, and gave me a real deep...
Yeah, the hybrid racing springs are taller springs, but are made of a stronger steel and drastically improve shift engagement. Like, if you have ever driven a stock, high mileage Honda Civic the shifting is absolute trash, just sloppy and uncomfortable. But based on the pictures I’ve seen of our...
Hey, I found a few threads on the detent springs for the 1ga and 1gb trans but from my understanding they are talking about the awd trans. Regardless I was curious if anyone has tried putting the Honda transmission detent springs in? And no I’m not talking about oe Honda springs, I’m talking...
