Well the radio was working fine when I bought it. Everything is wired up, only thing is that the constant 12v wire has so power so there is an open in that circuit. Does that circuit run from the underhood fuse box straight to the radio or does it run to the inside fuse box too?
Whats up guys, I just got a 96 tsi awd and the guy before me had the radio wired in wrong. The constant 12v wire has no power so he wired that circuit all the way into the ignition switch. I've read a few threads where people had no power at the 12v constant wire and they just ran a wire from...
When you're doing a leak down test make sure both intake and exhaust valves are completely closed on that cylinder. Like stated above you will hear air going past the rings.
Nice find. Also don't mess with the BISS screw until you have fixed all your boost leaks and also clean throttle body, if its too dirty it can cause low idle.
That sucks man, I hate to see things like this. Especially when it was someone else's fault, good luck with things and like everyone else said, sue the he11 out of her lol. :dsm:
Reading stuff like this makes me want to go to this "mechanic" and raise hell. First of all if at first you got your car making a noise after he "fixed" it, he should NOT charge you to check it out WTF.
Hitting a brick wall definitely sounds like fuel cut but looking at the log doesn't look like it at all. I really wonder is plugs will really cause that:hmm:
