I have an aftermarket analog 0-100psi guage mounted to the filter housing. So if when warmed up and I boost it and this never goes above 70 do I still need a restrictor?

Isn't almost ever turbo failure because metal contacts metal which is going to leave heat marks. At that point it is lack of oil between parts. How is a turbo that is out of balance and then makes contact going to look any different then one that breaks and oil slinger and makes contact to one...
