Alright so I got some parts from STM in the mail yesterday. I got a new head gasket, prothane inserts, valve stem seals, gates timing belt and balance shaft belt and some other odds and ends. my car will arrive this Friday.
The rebuilt 7 bolt that's in it has low compression 145 150 147 149. I think 133 is the limit. Anyhow it's using a lot of oil and I can't figure out why. I've changed turbos and still nothing ? Thinking the rings are bad . Any ideas. ?
outstanding. I'm thinking of dropping in a 6bolt block and use my 7bolt head. but i might just rebuild my 7bolt. I havent really decided yet. what do you guys think ?
alright, ill hit up craigslist when i get there. I should be their next week. leaving the car here in florida untill i get settled and then having it shipped to Cali. probably going to rebuild the engine when i get it there. whos down lol

it could be a blown turbo, if you have checked the obvious stuff ie, couplers and vac lines, and still havent found the problem, then i would check out the turbo. switch turbos to see if it is still acting up or not
the concept with running the oil feed from the oil filter housing, is the idea of cleaner oil going into the turbo... personally im running my s16g off the OFH... but either will work
