OK so maybe almost a year ago I replaced my thermostat. When I refilled it it leaked so I took it all out....redid it again...let it all sit for 24 hours..and no problems. I drained all my fluid out for this...and of course refilled it all with better. Several times after I got my coolant...
My car does the same thing.I dont burn or lose any oil....but right after an oil change it will idle at right above the tick mark...and under throttle it will go halfway between the tick and high setting..then.....about two the three months later its idling down bout halfway...
I did the exact same thing you did. Only difference is I took the bottom off first. I couldnt get to it so I left the top line connected...unbolted the mounts and was able to angle the filter a little better to get a 15mm on it.When I put all I had into it....it gave way. I saw fuel...
Have visited several local area car audio places looking to replace my stock 1g speakers (yeah I know....a little late), and I have gotten the same answer. None of the speakers on the market today will fit into the stock speaker housings.Forutnatley the first guy I visited laid it out as...
I had the same problem. Car would idle at 1,000rpm (unadjustable) then would very often do a bouncing thing up to 2,500rpm.I eventually got tired and shot the ISC (Idle Speed Controller) and it was bad.Satan got me for $380 bones on that one.It stopped the bounce and made the idle...
Finally after three years of failure and paying for state waivers and repairs......I passed my state emissions test. :rocks:Bad thing is....for the first time ever on my car....the CEL is on and constant. Even though it is running better then it ever has. Might do a battery cable...
Whoot. $349.00 from Satan...Idle problem solved.Too bad I didnt get the thermostat seated well and it leaked all over. Ahh well. New gasket....no biggy. I did have to adjust the BISS to get it back down to abouit 700rpm at idle with normal temps. It was at about 1200rpm...
This is sad. I work on jet engines for a living to boot. What is ISC?And got ya on the spark plugs :thumb:From my reading....the EGR does not really effect idle that I can see does it??
Hey guys...this may have been posted. I looked an nothing really seems to fit my problem.Little history.I have never passed a state emissions test. Ever. So as preparation I replaced the 02 sensor (its a 92 Tsi FWD). Then I laid in some Royal Purple, and changed the...
Thanks. I am gonna disconnect form the BOV and go that route. THat feeds right into the throttle body....should be even spread that way. Will post results and try to take pics of "The Cloud" so people can get an idea of how bad it can be :DWill also post if this combo results in a...
I THINK he is talking about the internal wastegate. And if he is running an external wastegate....god help me if I am wrong but I think all you need to do is disconnect the actuator portion of the internal. Thats the gold linkage on the side of the turbo.Again...I may be wrong.
Yeah but someone said they removed a vacuum line from between the TB and sensor that lead to thier BOV. I am assuming you take if off AT the BOV and not at the TB. In other words the end that links onto the BOV would be the end you put into the can. Just making sure.
