I'm out in maui. only 92 awd tsi on the island. got a buddy that has the 92 fwd tsi and 3 others with 2g's but dont know them at all. Anyone else in Maui?
so i got a buddy thats bringing a timing light to work tomorrow and ill set the base timing at 5 deg btdc. from there ill start with the tuning. hes got a wrx that i went in a ride in the other day. one word....slow. ill show him why he should have bought a dsm. ill keep you posted.
Well the idea was that while im in there i can replace the stick and repair the problem. talked with my parts department. Found 2 diffrent types of bushings. One is 1.83$ and the other is 10 bucks for the"blue". I got a 92 awd talon. Whats the count on the blues?
well just ordered a short shifter from e bay. if it works out without the bushings then great but that question still was not answered by a link. thanks for the great effort on that reply.
been looking into this. is a ebay short shifter going to replace the bushings used on the shifter shaft" the part that the shifter rotates on"? don't want to waste money on something that i don't need to buy. like only needing a few as apposed to 7 of the 24594b's. thanks for the input.
hey guys. i got a 92 talon tsi 5 speed. in first gear or any gear i can still move the stick side to side. got the skateboard bearings in the trans side cables. it seems upon inspection that the actual shifter assembly as in that moves the cables are internally worn. is there a fix for this or...

its proven that the intercooler i am using is a pos! so to take care of that my trv1859 is in the mail. after that i will get a meth/water injection setup. then i will do my final tune and take her to the track. ill keep everyone posted with the results but im sure the intercooler is the problem...
knock sensor was replaced about a year ago and recently inspected. the intercooler i have is the cx racing vertical flow. i got a treadstone trv1859 on the way along with some radiant heat barrier for the cool side of the ic piping. this shoulddo the trick as soon as its installed and retuned...
