Using this photo from google of dave's old car, you'll just put the power wire through that hole. Real easy.Otherwise could probably just drill a hole in the firewall a little bigger size than the wire and run it through there. Previous owner of my other current car did so and has it running...

This is probably the best pic I have. I have all the wires going to a distribution block (thing holding the wires on firewall). But I have the battery wire through the engine harness hole feeding into the block.

Sadly I do not. Currently the car is tore apart so I'm not able to get any pics.

You have to push it through with a good bit of effort but it can be done. I used the same gauge of wire. Having another person could make it easier but I did it by myself. I'd suggest putting the wire in through the engine bay side first so you have a lot more room.

I run my battery cable through the engine harness hole in the fire wall (passenger side).
