I recently read that the only pulleys that should be used are ones with dampeners. Without the dampener, the crank bearings are said to wear out faster bc there is no way to cushion the force created by the rotation of the crankshaft. The only aftermarket crank pulley made is the buschur...
LG VX8000 here. Kinda big but it has everything you could ask for(except blue tooth). Check out that new Motorola v710 they released for Verizon about a month or so ago.
This is not the same head that bent valves. The pistons with the marks on them are different cylinders than where these valves are popped out a tiny bit. It makes sense that not all valves will be seated with the cams in. I just got a little bit worried when I saw the gaps, but I think...
OK. I have this jdm engine(shoot me) and I removed the head to change the head gasket because I was boiling coolant. So I removed the head and noticed that there were tiny marks on #1 and #3 pistons from where it looks like the t-belt broke before. I turned the head over to look at it and...
The intake valves in cylinder 2 and the exhaust valves in cylinder 3 are not flush. There are tiny gaps between them and the head. Is this a sign of bent valves or is there something wrong somewhere else?
The waterpump is also new. The temp gauge doesnt go all the way to the red. It rises as long as I accelerate and for a tiny bit after I let off. After that it will start to return to halfway or a little bit over. I have an underdrive pulley on there. Could it not be turning the pump fast...
No white smoke, no mixing of fluids, but my car is overheating under hard acceleration and when I stop quickly. The fan comes on when it should and I just replaced the thermostat and radiator cap. The coolant is boiling and just started gushing out of the oil filter area the last time I drove...
I may have missed the post, but the ignition timing could be advanced too much which is causing too many counts of knock. When the ecu cannot pull the timing enough to compensate then it will limit your boost. Check your CAS and adjust the ignition timing to see if that is the culprit.
Yeah the World of Outlaws definitely has the best drivers. Ive met them all also. I always get a pitpass at Williams Grove Speedway out in Mechanicsburg, PA(The track with the blue bridge over the backstretch).
Just wondering if there are any other DSMers that are also into sprint car racing. I live in CT but go out to PA every summer to go to races and I love it.
