2G Summer plans, need some advice

3D printed would be awesome! They do seem very hard to come by. Always missing. People lose them when putting on big intercoolers. :P I think you are better off with new replacements. The headlights I have would need some serious resto. Best of luck! My build is ever so slowly coming along. Lots...

No dice on the fog light bezel unfortunately. Are you looking for pre or post facelift headlights? I have a set of post facelifts that I'll be getting in a week or two, so not much better than your current order, but they are extremely foggy and I was planning to resto them first. Probably not...

Can you link me the part you are looking for? I am helping someone part out a car next week and there is a chance I could send you one.

Wow awesome job helping, Kryndon! Glad to know another knowledgeable DSMer! Great job on that simple license plate bracket Doomchild. I was thinking of making something way more complicated for mine, but that looks excellent!

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Restoration by 802 Garage

Thanks IHeartMyHonda! I won't forget.99ECLIPSEGSXDSM, initially I was thinking it was the FWD flywheel that was smaller, then I did more research and discovered what you just said. I have heard both that the FWD flywheel will fit in the AWD trans and that it won't as there will be too much...

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Restoration by 802 Garage

Thanks for that info, IHeartMyHonda! Yeah I'm still not sure the vacuum is really rated for it, but it did it! I just bought some cleaner and conditioner for the leather, so hopefully by the time I'm really done with it, it will look almost as good as new. Transmission should be coming out tomorrow!

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Restoration by 802 Garage

Hey 802gst! Thanks for the reply. They certainly seem to be getting thin on the ground in these parts. I'm planning to host a meet late this summer if I can get it together. Keep in touch on my YouTube channel or FB page will be the easiest way to know when. Should hit me up on FB either way so...

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Restoration by 802 Garage

Wow thank you so much for the nice replies and encouragement everyone! At first I was worried I would get flamed for having such a rusty old heap! ;)It will certainly be a lot of work. I got some advice on my non start issues and have it pretty well confirmed I have the wrong flywheel...

Wow this is epic! I love it when people build less popular or unloved models. Your work is an inspiration to someone like me starting their first DSM build and restoration.

DSM Profile: 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Restoration by 802 GarageThis is my red 2G GSX! This is my first DSM and first Mitsubishi product in general. It has unfortunately experienced many Vermont winters and a lot of neglect. It is rusty, the paint is scratched and faded, and it has far too...

    YERFDOG'S 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

Wow this car is clean! In much nicer shape than mine. I'm not usually a fan of white cars, but it's definitely working for this one. Thanks for pointing me towards the forum!

Awesome to know about the license plate bracket! Mine has the exact same issue and I thought I would have to remove the bumper as well. My car also has issues like rust and I'm sure people will think I'm crazy for spending time and money, but it's a 1997 GSX. Come on! Future classic! Plus it...
