Sorry to cut in but on a related ? I recently bought a turbo 1g head. All the exhaust valves say "6T", but Intake valves had mixed markings...some are "6A" and some are "6T".Can someone verify this? I don't know if the valves got swapped & I wanna be sure that I bought turbo head.Aside...
I paid attention to the "punch mark" on the rotor and cam ring. Rotor to face back cover, and cam ring to the face body. And hand-torqued 4 bolts and the pulley won't turn. And no slack either. Not doing.I turned the "cam case"(middle sandwiched part that makes up 3-piece housing) upside down...
So I bought new seal kit to replace Power Steering Pump. Diaper was OK for a little while but got tired of keep replacing diaper on underside.ROFLThe work was relatively easy except for lining up the bolt holes. And I'd recommend loosening up 3 bolts/nuts(top, return bracket, sensor...
This can be addendum to the original poster. My 1g had leak that I didn't notice. Hint: when you go to gas station to fill up, you open the gas cap and you don't hear the "psssss" air leak, this might be the culprit.
Fuel tank and the rest of the system supposed to be sealed system. Not to...
There was a production car in mid 80s or early 90s, I don't remember very well but it defintely was sleek sexy supercar with 2-supercharger and 2-turbos. Made something like 600hp or somethin. They made only for couple of years and stopped. I think it was Buggati or Bentley.Again, like...
Oh, the reason I'm asking is because AAA adjuster will not tell me how much they'll pay me to settle. And says that when adjuster comes out for cash settle, it's one time shot ---they'll pay me right there on the spot and I have no option to decline the settlement if it's not to my satisfaction...
My car was parked when this business man whom I know hit my car.
It's a minor fender-bender. I got a repair estimate for $1,350 from a body shop.
Damaged area is left front side-marker & bumper area. His insurance is AAA. It seems to me that I can fix the damage on my own.
Replace...
Can you be more specific when you said it *dead*?
Is not spinning anymore, as in shaft is frozen?
Is there too much shaft play?If shaft is frozen, likely the turbine side oil seal is stuck with oil being cooked on it. I suspect oil supply, or not cooling down after driving hard. Anyhow...
Something is missing here - I remember years ago, leak test also required cranking
motor where #1 cylinder is TDC. This ensures all valves are closed. Or else, the air will pass thru open valves and you can hear the leak at the exhaust tip.
And it helps to step on gas pedal while...
The ignition module pic you posted should be found on inside engine compartment - connected to spark plug wire connector. Trace it back and it shouldn't be hard at all. It should be bolted onto intake mani. It's been a while, was it the solution?
Here is the solution to DMV's wrath...park your primary car aside and buy ALL pre-70s cars and mod the funk out. Use the car to drive into downtown and countryside, go shopping, going movies, etc. :thumb:
