6-blade 60/86mm HX40 turbocharger supercore (CHRA & cover). This is a responsive turbo for it's size which has the capability of generating 68-70 lb/min of airflow with ample turbine flow on a proper setup and will fit into any of the popular turbine housing sizes made for the HX40. Fantastic buy for someone who recently blew their HX40 and can't afford the downtime for a repair service or is looking for an upgrade for their older 8-blade 58mm HX40. This is the largest OEM HX40 compressor available from Holset.
This unit came to me with excessive shaft movement and turbine inducer damage. The turbine has been replaced with a new 10-blade unit, and the turbo received a full R&R (rebuild and rebalance) in-house and is ready to rock and roll. The v-band on the compressor outlet has already been ground down and is ready to accept a 2.5" coupler and clamp. I'm including a 4AN fitting for the oil feed line as well.
Proper oil supply and drainage is crucial for the HX center housing. This turbo must be supplied with no more than 72psi of oil pressure under load or you risk causing oil-related damage to the turbo for which I will not accept responsibility. The oil drain must be as straight as possible, have no kinks, and must not dip below the fitting on the oil pan at any point. DO NOT USE A 10AN DRAIN. Improper oil drain size will over-oil the cartridge and cause damage that is not covered by any type of warranty repair.
