These are something I have been looking to work on for some time now. It started a while ago when I was seeing lifters snap springs and regrinds ( camshafts ) and the lifters not being shimmed correctly or that freak one-off high rev mis-shift shooting a rocker arm off.
These are here for the ability to help control and limit excess damage.
KEY FEATURES
* Made from 2mm Zintec steel
* CNC laser cut and CNC bent for accuracy
* comes complete with ALL NEW hardware for the cam caps ( 24 bolts )
* Front and side blocking protection
* DOES NOT restrict any oil from the lifter/rocker to the camshaft
These use a frontal and sideways protection system for the rocker arms, this will save the rocker from shooting out the valve cover or shooting sideways possibly knocking another rocker off and jamming it causing excessive damage to multiple pistons and valvetrain. With these blockers, they will do their best for you to limit this and once hit will drop to the base thus resulting in far less damage for you and also saving your valve cover from being punched with a giant hole through it!
Installation is easy and simple. add the blockers, Hold the blocker level while you torque to OEM specs.
Notes...
OEM DSM rocker covers with stock baffles will need to trim 1 side to slip past the blockers, aviation snips work well here.
Evo rocker covers need ZERO modifications to work
** These ARE a maintenance-type item and will require you to periodically check them to see if you have had ANY contact and address the situation there and then. This is NOT a fix for the weak or snapped springs and thus should not be relied on for doing that job. This is merely protection for your engine should the worst happen. **
