They originally came with metal but at some point in the late 90s the switched to plastic. All replacements have been plastic for 25+ years.

As mentioned the current offerings are plastic. Once they jam in the pozi steips and you tend to need to drill them out which is not good and pointless and thats why the metal ones work better but they gave that up to cheapen the product. I have always prefered the metal type myself and use them.

Haha I can accept that! Im working on other reproduction parts that are discontinued so hope one day I can be part of that reason
