New 7-blade billet 60/86mm HX40 turbocharger. This is a midsized powerhouse with the capability of generating over 650whp. Real-world experience with this compressor wheel has four users over 78 lb/min, two of them over 80.
This is a new construction turbo built and balanced in-house by me for a customer but the guy hasn't contacted me in a few months....it's been on a shelf in storage since probably Christmastime, so it's gotta go. This turbo is a mixture of OEM and aftermarket parts to keep durability up and costs down....all of the internals are OEM while the bearing housing and turbine shaft/wheel are aftermarket. I've used turbines from this source for over 7 years now and they've held up to 44psi and over 80 lb/min on various applications without a single turbine failure, so they're definitely a quality piece.
The turbo comes with a new .82 single-scroll T3 turbine housing attached....the housing has a 3" v-band outlet and includes the v-band and clamp you'd need in order to fabricate an o2 housing or downpipe. The v-band on the compressor outlet has already been ground down and is ready to accept a 2.5" coupler and clamp. A new oil feed fitting is also included which is ready to connect to any 4AN feed line. The buyer will also receive a new oil drain gasket and a new stainless T3 inlet gasket for the turbine housing.
Proper oil supply and drainage is crucial for the HX center housing. This turbo must be supplied with no more than 72psi of oil pressure under load or you risk causing oil-related damage to the turbo for which I will not accept responsibility. The oil drain must be as straight as possible, have no kinks, and must not dip below the fitting on the oil pan at any point. DO NOT USE A 10AN DRAIN. Improper oil drain size will over-oil the cartridge and cause damage that is not covered by any type of warranty repair.
The price is just $800 SHIPPED for this turbo to the lower 48 states only- I cannot ship to Canada or Internationally. At this time I'd prefer to sell the entire turbo as you see it but I may entertain selling just the supercore (no turbine housing) at a discount if the buyer has their own turbine housing in mind.
