Has anyone else dealt with a lane changing problem?
When I’m going speeds around 70-80 mph when I change lanes my car jerks left and right or it changes quickly in the direction I’m going. Also going over little bumps it causes the same thing.
I had an alignment done back in December. I changed lower ball joint at my local shop and they said everything else was okay.

Check the tie rod ends as thats going to be a sudden pull. I have had this before on another car and its very off putting for sure. Just check all joints though from top to bottom inc wheel bearings. If all does check out check the rack for play and then subframe bushes are not split. Split bushes in the frame is not a common thing for the DSM's so its likely one of the other options.

Wiggle the wheel on the ground and if it moves you know what it might be then

Will do, thanks again! Also it wouldn’t have hurt to mention my car does have a power steering delete.

Was this issue after the PS delete? And also who done it and was it done the proper way or just looped?

If its been apart for the proper way then you might have slack play between the pinion and rack. This is adjustable to some extent via the large nut and threaded shaft on the lower end of the rack. But only adjust this if your rack has play as its possible its loosened now its set in or it was never set right! Just another thing to check over.

To check this you need to twist the rack shaft or the inner tie rod end BJ housings to see the movement

It’s looped,l but I bought this car off of someone located in Montana. It’s weird because I ran my winter tires with steelies and it drives perfectly normal. I bought a set of rpf1s 245/40/18 +40 off of someone so I’m going to balance them again? Cause when I bought em off of the guy he said it was balanced and ready to go. But I will check out what you told me as well, thanks!

Looped is not the right way and your fighting against air inside so might be part of the problem. Its likely all adding up but a wider wheel will do some pulling. My daily uses a 255 now and it finds all small grooves in the road snd follows them but i also run -2° camber so it all adds up.

Check upper and lower ball joints yourself with wheels off ground and a crowbar trying to move them. Also tie rod ends. The alignment shop may have missed something or had a lazy person not check properly.

Okay, will do!

My bet is also on the tires.

I've experienced something similar with mine a few times in the past.

Either uneven tire wear, or worse could be that the tires mounted against the rotation direction.

Mine acted in a similar way when my rear toe angle was off every bump I hit the rear end would walk out. The car would walk all over the place when it rained to the point it was undrivable. Doesn’t look like they did any adjustments on the rear of you car most likely because the toe adjustments are seized. Get some new toe arms and bolts then take it to a more reputable alignment shop.

I was thinking the same and everything else

Guys, i believe we found the problem. its sounds like the inner and outer tie rod. I have the video and wow the wheel shakes left and right like crazy.... has tons of play.

" they said everything else was ok"....
What kinda shop is this?
They should have found that.
Make sure that isn't also some wheel bearing play.

Im serious, I had a full vehicle inspection before anything was done, all they said I had to do in order for my car to be road safety was change my ball joint and weld my exhuast up. Also had my battery changed and my coolant leak stopped. Spent about 1200$ in total. Then again my car was there for a whole month before they called me and did anything to it. Funny enough in town its a pretty reputable shop LOL.

I would demand at least your inspection fees back and the alignment too as there is no way you can do a proper alignment like that.

It’s crazy cause this was already a problem before I brought it and I told them the same thing I said here. But when I drove it out they said the wheels I had before which was the evo 10s needed a balance and tires so I just assume it was that the whole time.

Again, I am not super familiar with troubleshooting suspension, but the first video to me REALLY looks like a shot bearing since it wobbles up and down and sometimes wobbling without the tie rod even moving. Noticed in the second video it might be the bearing, but its really the second that made me say it has to be the hub man. Disconnect the tie rod and have someone hold the knuckle while you shake it and if it still wobbles then you know it is the hub. Just my thoughts.
