Starting off had this gsx for 6-7 years already. From stock to what it is now. I've enjoyed taking this dsm to willow springs and Fontana speedway. Within the time i have had the gsx i've owned other cars and lost focus. Now i'm back to only having one sport's car once again.
Now as of right now i am debating whether to keep my kelfords 272's or switch them to my hks 264/272 set up?? Reason is for better spool on the shorter courses. I loved the old 68hta and tried the new 68hta. Power seemed the same only 600-800rpms laggier with the new one. Right now since i sold my 68htas' i only have a e316g that i will be using. I sold my fmic and now have a dejon smic. Planning on ducting the smic and radiator area as well. Along with that i have cracked two fp manifolds so i am returning back to a good old evo3 exhaust manifold and adding a evo3 intake manifold i have now. I just got rid of my cruise control for a cleaner engine bay and easier to work on if needed. I will post pictures and videos as i go.
My goal is to keep it simple it's still on the stock long block after all these years after all. I have been at 380whp on a very conservative tune. Hasnt been retuned since, now it will since turbo will be different.

As of right now what do you guys think about cam set up keep my k272 or go with my 264/272 hks for road racing?? hp will still be above 350whp as planned.

Don't know much about the Dejon smic but i heard they are good to hold 400whp? I plan to put some lines to spray some sort of liquid to smic like the evo 8's do. My old evo ix had it when i made the mod and it helped the stock fmic. input from those that know are welcome to give me some insight.

what are your goals for the car? just track days for fun, or are you trying to fit into a certain class of a certain sanction? myself I like a higher rev'ing road race car, means less time lost shifting. If you are planning on building the head etc. eventually I would stick with the 272s.

Sheee I’ve sold this car a while back my close friend owns it now. I thought I got rid of the bug of dsm fever but just recently purchased another one 98 tsi awd. This one has a built 2.3 just needs some work. Purchased a new FP red just waiting on some oem parts to arrive and get her back on the road.
Honestly just fun track days and little wkend car canyon cruise car for now. I doubt I’ll get serious with this chassis. Still have other projects like my GT500 and plan on trading in my M3 for a new Supra. I’ll always have love for the dsm reason why I hope this will be my last😅
