Not to much of a help me question but does anyone get anxiety to take there car to get a tune because I’m ready too but just don’t trust people and keep thinking they would blow me engine or something :|

We are going to need a lot more detail than this.

What tuning software?
No I’m just saying like are all y’all just comfortable letting people take your car and tune it for you ? Like do you not get scared that they would push it to hard ?

Well, I'd say the days of someone sending off their DSM to get tuned or letting someone tune it without the owner watching are few and far between.

For ECMlink, a lot of folks tune themselves. Remote tunes are also very popular with tuners like Kevin Jewer, Rix Racing, etc. For those using AEM, FuelTech, Haltech etc, a lot of times those are done in person/virtually. A tuner isn't going to push a car harder than the owner wants.

Yeah I understand but I also saw a post about this guy saying he got his engine blown up by the guy dyno tuning his car an I was like hell nah LOL

A lot of factors go into that, could have been a part failure that was the root cause of the issue. Sucks for that guy tho. I had a turbo failure take out a motor and intercooler core last month. Easy 6.5-8.5k f*** up.

Before I spend money on mods, I always ask myself if I set that money on fire, would I still be able to pay my bills for the next 12 months. If the answer is yes, I buy.

Accidents happen, and sometimes a string of just plain bad luck is all it takes to watch 10k + go down the drain!

You need to post a profile please. Everybody is assuming you are a 4g63 turbo owner.
Who told you I wasn’t a 4g63 owner ? Just because I dont have anything on my profile but my 1995 eagle talon esi doesn't mean I don't have a gsx

Fixed*
I know you're only asking if others get anxiety from getting our cars tuned and not really asking for help with your car specifically getting tuned that doesn't mean other members aren't going to try to help you and help begins with a filled out profile. There's no need to get defensive here and go at another member.

Remote tuning is a thing now. YOU run the car, THEY adjust the tune and tell you what to watch for (like lean AFR's, misfire's, anything out of the ordinary) and tell you to stop immediately and send a log of that issue. They go over your cars log and adjust things as necessary.
This is usually all done with ECMLink, BTW.

This is one of the 1st things we ask members to do so we aren't guessing at what a ESI has in it.
Take care of this please!
Marty

If your engine is built right it won't blow while getting tuned unless some parameters are too far out. But a good tuner will watch the values and readings while running it and stop immediately if something is out of the ordinary. If you experience part failure while doing a dyno pull or street pull for tuning purposes, it was going to happen later anyway.
