I’m interested on the V2 kit, I’m going to have to try n sell my new V1 though.
someone will buy the V1. a 1G can also but it from you since its the same setup but they just mount it upside down and might need a few extra washers for spacing

Im in for a V2 kit complete with EPS! :D If someone wants to sell me thier V1 in the meantime, PM me.

Thank you for the amazing work!

I'm interested in the V2 kit Bobby, How would the process be as far as payment. IE half up front half when everything is ready to ship or full amount? Also what would be the turnaround time for this as well?

We just received our Rack, this took way too long and we no longer have the 2G project we were working on.

If anyone wants it we are willing to sell, rack is still on the shipping box. :)

That sucks that you got rid of your 2G! I think you need to buy another LOL

I've had the Quaife rack on for a few weeks now. I still need an alignment and to center the wheel so there's a lot of improvement to be done before I can write a review or anything, but for now I will say that I don't really notice the different rack. I went from a standard rack with the hard lines removed to this and I don't really notice it being more difficult to turn the wheel or anything, which is absolutely a positive for me. I will still absolutely need some kind of EPS before I can swap back to the summer tires but for now it's just fine.

The steering feel.........I'm not used to being able to feel ANYTHING in an Eclipse. The limit of front grip is SO easily approachable now because I actually feel things through the steering wheel. Things that I didn't get through a depowered OE rack. In terms of feel alone it does remind me a little of my old Miata's manual rack which is outstanding! Dare I say that it actually makes understeer kind of fun! The downside of all of this feeling is that it strongly highlights exactly how much bump steer exists in the factory front suspension. Not enough to cause problems necessarily but it's uncomfortable, for lack of a better term, in a daily driver.

I jumped in on this group buy for my DD GSX because I was sick of leaking and noisy power steering, I wished the steering was a little faster, and I'm really bad with money, but even before getting the suspension completely sorted I'm happy with the purchase just because of how much more engaging the car is to drive. I'm hoping that after fixing the wheel and getting a real alignment I can comment on whether the steering really feels any faster.

On my summer tires on the old depowered rack it was truly undriveable in parking lots. Tight maneuvers like parallel parking required assistance from the passenger. Driving around was just fine but pulling into the garage was a chore. On my narrower winter tires with this rack it's not terrible. Two hands and lots of effort if you're completely stopped but if you're moving at all it's not bad. I can't palm it like I can in my other cars without power steering but I wasn't expecting to be able to.

Again, I would say that for a street car on any kind of competent tire EPS is going to be a necessity. For a track or weekend car I wouldn't bother. Has anyone heard from Mr. Cole and his bolt in kit? I've already got a Yaris column and non-ABS control unit but no welding experience.

So question. Just want to verify everyone else's is this way, I noticed in Bobby's video his only makes just under 1 rotation mine happens to make more than my stock rack in rotations. Maybe I'm mistaken but anyone else notice this? First video in daylight is the stock rack, 2nd one at night with a flash light is what's suppose to be the quick rack, I'm stopping here until I get some verification from you guys, also to note this is without the tie rods or anything else installed, just the rack mounted.

After video chatting with Bobby, turns out I do have the Quaife rack, the inner tie rods have to be in show the actual turn ratio. I'll update when I have it all back together. Thank you again bobby for your time!

No problem Mr! Always here to help and assist. Glad we could check this out and figure out the reason

I was able to throw the rack back together and get the steering wheel as center as I could. Might be the slightest bit off if anything. while installing the inner tie rods I noticed Bobby's kit didn't have the washers but if you're like me and bought the inner tie rods from EMW prematurely before bobby did his group buy then you'll have them there. Not sure if that's a big deal to others or not but figured I'd mention it. I also measured the shaft on both sides for whoever is going to install it next so you don't have to play the centering game as much as I did. I'm currently at a work stop, I noticed my sway bar bushings are in need of replacements so I ordered them and now waiting.

Thought I'd update this thread, after extensive checking, it looks like my rack itself was the culprit so I emailed Brandon and EMW and he said to just ship it back to him for inspection. So that was like $70 out my pocket to ship, hoping everything is still good. I've had 1 other anonymous person message me claiming the same issue of stiffness I'm having so I'd like to ask, how is everyone else's? Anyone else install there's and test drive it?
In the videos you can see the shaft play and hear clicking.

I have had mine installed for a few months now. I opted for Brandon to shave the ports and used one of his cores. I also opted for the electric power steering. Everything works flawless and feels great.
