I'm down, waiting on Raven to refund my money, anyone was successful getting it back?
I've tagged @Raven Fabrication several times. Tagged @Ludachris since they are a supporting vendor. Messaged @Raven Fabrication on Facebook, they read it, never replied. Called @Raven Fabrication , no reply. Not sure what to do. I suppose I can do a dispute with my credit card company. I would love to know if/when @Raven Fabrication is abandoning the project and refunding preorders. I would happily reallocate my money. So far, radio silence on my $600 plus shipping.

I'm willing to pick up this project for the 2g guys. I already have a prototype made, in the car running. Treadstone core, no cutting or trimming and works with STOCK location IC pipes. Pricing would come in cheaper at $550. If you guys are interested, let me know or post up. I don't need 20 people or any of that. Just 5 confirmed purchasers.
firstly its nice you wish to help but you need to do this properly here please!
dont high jack a thread, its not nice and the issue is not resolved as of yet so if you must do this please make a new thread! BUT saying that you also need to become a freelancer to do this correctly and stick within the forum rules! we all try to enforce them and abide by them as much as we can! if you wish to discuss or do anything further then i suggest you become a freelance and gauge interest in the freelancer section to discuss prises etc

Talked to Ravenfab a couple hours ago. They said that out of all the people that said they'd be down for the group buy, only 3 have actually put down a deposit on their website. They said that they would probably start work on the intercoolers if they hit 10 people or more, but if no more people sign up for the buy they'll be dropping the project pretty soon.

So to the 28+ people that said "Yes" to an upgraded side mount intercooler... where y'all at 😂

28 yes votes and only 3 deposits. Yeah, I'd probably drop it if I were them too.

Yeah, post #93 said there were 4, but he was getting his deposit back. That's what made me want out as well, definitely isn't going to happen.

Hey,

here are few photos off my selfmade bigger hahn smic. I drive an fp red. i think, he is too small. It fits plug and play. Changes to the body are not necessary. Stock air-box also fits.

ngl, this is the absolute wrong way to go about a group buy. You need to provide some transparency to potential customers, like semi-regular updates on the number of people that have bought in and hope this encourages people to actually place the order.

The way it's being run right now, it sounds like a $600 interest-free loan to Raven that you'll get back eventually. Not a very forthcoming or confidence-inspiring business practice.

It is not hard to log in and say something like, out of all the interest we only have three deposits. We need X amount of deposits by this date or we will be dropping the project and refund everyone's money.

I absolutely agree. They haven't commented since adding the link to pay. I might go through my bank for a reversal. I can't get ahold of them.

I would prefer something in writing regarding their plan going forward. I messaged them again on Facebook, but their profile is just a black grey circle, so they might have disabled messenger or something, or my phone is glitching. I called and left a voicemail and I sent an email to Eric, which showed up on my PayPal summary.

Assuming I don't receive a response, I will file a dispute with my credit card company. The order link went live on 1/19/21. 6+ months is more than enough time, in my opinion, to determine this project isn't going to happen (assuming the 3-4 paid preorders is accurate).

I was very serious about it but never saw any real updates. If i saw that progress was happening a order would have been placed, but i am not here to give out loans.

On filing a dispute, learn from my mistakes. Brush up on the FTC recommended process for effectively filing and winning a charge dispute with your credit card company. Here’s a link to an Experian page describing this: https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/how-do-credit-card-disputes-work/

I did not follow this process and simply went ahead and filed a dispute with Discover. Ultimately, they sided with the merchant and I still do not have the product I payed money for…go figure. This is why I almost exclusively deal in PayPal these days because they tend to protect the customer better.

Checking in a month later. @Raven Fabrication zero communication. @Ludachris not sure if you have a contact, but I am floating over $600 with them with no updates. I don't what it takes to be a supporting vendor, but this has been a terrible experience, in my opinion. I have tried calling, emailed Eric, sent Facebook messages, etc.

Hi guys!

I got your email Geoffrey, I am cancelling everyone’s order (3 people) and issuing refunds right now. You should receive an email showing the cancellation!

P.S. got knocked out by Covid for 3 weeks and now getting all caught up with everything.

All replies to this thread were going to spam folder :(

Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Oh no. Anyway.

People here have been trying to reach you for almost 23 weeks. By more mediums than dsmtuners reply emails going to spam. You came into this thread asking for money and to produce something, then poof! Gone! Why? All you had to do was to say it's months out, looking grim, refunding, hold tight if you wanna. You know, anything. But nope, silence. Why? It was so simple for you. Just do it, work on it while keeping deposits to do so, or say you can't do it and fold.

Even easier - just do nothing. Maybe stick with that; do nothing for the sake of everyone around you.

Idiot.
Though I completely understand the frustration and the perspective, I'm going to remove this reply to avoid having this turn into a shit show while he works on refunding people.

I don't blame you. I'm not here trying to insult them. Sure it could have been handled better. But it's done now and I know for next time. I knew going in we needed minimum order amount to start and it would be a hurry up and wait situation. Glad the refund will be headed my way (and the others) and we can all move on.

I will also add that I did reach out to them via Facebook messenger, twice. First message was read, not responded to. Second message was never read. I called them three times, during business hours, left voicemail each time, no response. Tagged them on here. Emailed Eric, twice. The second time was yesterday. He replied to my email chain, including the first message that was ignored. But I finally got a response after tagging the on the DSM Nation Facebook group, which has 18k members.

Haven't gotten my refund yet. But I wanted to post up how I finally got a response.

Well, this is a disappointment about how all this turned out, I was really hoping for an upgraded sidemount. But the extra $600 will be nice LOL

RavenFab still has my business.
