Needing a front camber correction kit for my GSX. Don't know whether it's positive or negative, but the top of the wheels are in towards the engine, moreso than the bottom. I have been fighting worn inside tires ever since I bought this damned car and I just want a set of tires to wear evenly for once!

Well I believe you have negative camber now and would need to put some positive into it to stand the tire more staright up and down to get better wear from your tires. INGALLS makes a kit that will go from -1.5 degrees - +1.5 degrees. Might be worth checking out for this issue. Also, someone can correct me here if I am wrong on this.

Unless you have more than maybe -1.5* camber, and since you have a 2g that not likely, then you need to get your toe adjusted.

I run my Talon at -2.5* with about 1/8th inch toe in on the street (toe in and neg camber work decent to keep the tires from shredding the inside). When I race I toe it out 1/8th inch for the better turn in.

After 12k miles I can only see a very slight difference on the inside of the tire vs. the outside.

Get the SPC eccentric bushings for camber adjustment, and don't look back.
They can adjust camber 0.75* + or -.
So depending on your current camber readings and the adjustment range you need these could be perfect for you. I got both left and rights for $80 shipped.

Oh, and they won't cause suspension travel issues like the Ingalls and the adjustable ball joint kits have been reported to do so.

Interesting. I want to look into those SPC bushings then myself. Thanks for the imput there Pie. Where did you order them from?

Looks like Dee has you covered!
I found a slightly better deal at a certain Bay, but nothing says family better than buying your stuff from RRE :thumb:

The only thing I thought to be odd was the mention of lubrication. Unless the porous nature and the material of the bushings themselves are this "lubricant", I've seen nothing of the sort.

But that certainly shouldn't deter anyone from using this kit since appropriate lubricant can be found almost anywhere.

EDIT: Sorry to be off topic a bit here, but hockey? Awesome! What league?

You haven't gotten your alignment done yet?

Lowering the car changes camber. Changing camber will change toe. Therefore we can conclude lowering your car will also change your toe.

Really Hmm Anyone else aggree just curious I do need camber adjustments gor sure

I could be wrong, but from what I know Megan Racing upper control arms are the only parts available to adjust the front camber on a 2g. (These are also believed to be the same as the Godspeed ones)

This being said, they also have a horrible reputation, and I have never used them personally. Here is a write up regarding them: https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2g-megan-racing-adjustable-upper-controle-arm.499942/

When you say -1.5 and +1.5 do you mean only that or any where between that example: say don’t want -1.5 ur I want -1.00 is that doable with these or are they One adjustment set only to those numbers

I run Ingalls on mine with a 2" drop.

So are these adjustable freely or are your only options -1.5 & +1.5 can we do in between?

Got a link to these CAN'T seem to find them

I made a batch a while ago that have a wider range of adjustments including caster and also a smidge of roll center. It was a small batch of 35, I think but they perform really well. You have hit and miss results on SPC BJ's and the sliding inner mounts as they either ruin the rubber and keep needing to be replaced or they slip once done up and its a bugger as then you need to get a new alignment again and replace the part that's worn in hopes it won't do it again!

The inner shafts have been known to snap from being a thinner shaft but I have only read a few had this happen and they may have fixed this issue once they knew about it.

Other then these above and mine nothing else is about as the cast SPC arms fouled and work the rubbers out also since they about the same design as the press in OEM arm ones are.

There are adjustable balljoints available for the upper control arms. Moog makes a couple variations. I used Moog K7452's from Rock Auto on my '97 GST with good results for street driving.

As I recall they are good for up to a 1 degree adjustment +/- depending on the orientation that you press them in, they come with an instruction sheet. I hired a shop with a rack to do it but by the instructions it seems that you would need to determine the existing camber, press in the adjustable balljoints using that determination then make final adjustments.
