Took the words right out of my mouth i almost commented on that same thing.Wow, someone really took some time with that one. But my favorite mod on that right now is the NOS catch can.
Alright I’ll try some of that out. I checked the oil and coolant and both looked brand new but still planned on changing the oil. Luckily it doesn’t have any fuel in it. How do I check to see if it has Dsm link ? At least 4 years since last fired.I'd start with an extensive cleaning of the engine bay, removing all the dirt and dust. Figure out what mods are on the car and go from there. If the car has DSMlink, I'd kick that fuel pump on and drain all that old fuel.
Compression test
leak down test
boost leak test ... Depending on those results I'd follow up with
new fuel
new plugs
coolant flush
oil change
So many things to do and check before attempting to fire it up.
Any idea how long it's been sitting?

Cool I will check that out. Does any of this tell you anything ? One of the things is wired through the glove box and the other under the driver dash area.View attachment 631573Check the ECU for a chip.
https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/1g-ecu-removal-install.312631/ - post #7 - ecu is in center console, easy access from passenger side.
Awesome I will look into that and get back on here. I just noticed you are from KC we are less than 2 hours apart. Small world.Yea, looks like car has Link then, we hope. I'd still take out the ecu and open it up, inspect for damage or anything odd.
You'll need the most current software on a laptop in order to access it: http://www.ecmtuning.com/downloads.php
Download the one that works with your operating system, and you'll also need the download from the "drivers" section.
I am about an hour away and visit MoKan with our DSM's and Camaro's as much as possible every year.Awesome I will look into that and get back on here. I just noticed you are from KC we are less than 2 hours apart. Small world.
That’s awesome. Good to have more people around the area. So I pulled the oil cap and looked inside looked new and here’s what I’m seeing under the valve cover…. Possible brand new motor ?Noiiceee. I know for a fact I've seen other members on here from that area.
It was left at these people’s property and they wanted it out of their way. I have no clue on anything else.So what’s the story behind the car?
That’s awesome I actually live less than 10 minutes from Mokan! I am ready man to say the least!I am about an hour away and visit MoKan with our DSM's and Camaro's as much as possible every year.
Nice find, I can't believe I hadn't discovered it. Get her ready to be "DRIVEN"!

You would think. That’s awesome wonder how to check what cams they are ? It does have oil in it but looks fresh out of the container. The car was on blocks and the tires still had stickers the people said they never seen it move in the passed 12 years. Pretty insane. So now I wonder if that motor has ever had oil in it, wouldn't that assembly lube on the camshafts go away real fast once the motor is operational?
quick google search for BC springs and retainers - p/n 87095 - looks like titanium.
Pull the oil drain plug and see if anything comes out.
