I have a jay racing alternator relocation kit that I purchase 12 to 13 years ago and have misplaced the two spacers. I have not been able to get up with Jay racing to get new ones. Can anyone give me the measurements for these two spacers? Also, I vaguely remember a redesign on the original kit. Does anyone remember what the issue was with the original alternator relocation kit?
 
The issue was the aluminum brackets breaking , now they use steel ones call extreme psi and ask them if they can measure them for you.

I think it's 0.70" and 0.75". Or maybe you can use a bunch of washers or/and nuts as spacer to adjust the position.

May have to do that for the time being. The rectifier on my lathe just blew. Being a Nardini lathe, I doubt I'll be able to get one soon.
 
Here some pics, I took some pics before for someone else. But I couldn't find the pic of adjustable rod's spacer with a caliper, so I took it now, but by a tape measure.

I made both of the spacers and they seem to work. Although, the spacer for the adjustment is giving me a small problem. The ride seems to be hitting the alternator when I turn it to adjust it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sorry. I didn't proof read like I should have. The adjustment rod is contacting the top of the alternator when I rotate it. There is a raised section on the alternator where the front and rear of the case is bolted together on the alternator. When I adjusted the tension the rod contacts the top where the bolt goes through. I keep calling it an adjustment rod but I can't remember the proper name. Hopefully this makes sense. I can take a picture tomorrow when I'm at the shop if needed.

I know what you mean. On my particular setup, I had the same thing happened to me. So I took the adjustment rod to a machine shop and had them shave some material around the rod. This allows me to turn the rod and increase belt tension without the same rod making contact with the alternator.
 
Dsmpt is right. You most likely have the wrong belt size. Try getting a slightly smaller belt. This way you won't have to turn the rod that much to get the required tension. I personally needed to get a bigger belt for my particular setup. Didn't have any other choice. So I had to shave off some material. Before it, I had smaller belt that did the job.

This is the same belt I used when I installed the kit on my first dsm and didn't have an issue. Since then I have lost the spacers and had to make new ones. It is possible by going to a shorter belt it could change the angle and give me the needed clearance.

Yes. It is very possible. Assuming that both your spacers are how they are supposed to be in terms of correct size and that you are using the same belt and it's not overly stretched. Then the problem could be in the placement of both your spacers. The lower spacer. Are you placing it to where you are using the inner or outer ribs of the crank pulley? The upper spacer for the adjustment rod and placement of the adjustment rod. Is this behind or in front of the bolt hole of the alternator? And where is the spacer placed? Play with the setting of both spacers and the placement of the adjustment rod before you buy a new belt. You might not need one at all.
 
I have had the aluminum kit on since it came out years ago and no problems with it, he did mention the reason for the failures but I forget what that was, but it was more user error than a defect in the parts as I recall.

I'm using the outer pulley. The top spacer is behind the bolt hole. It's the same as in the picture shown with the measurements. I'm fairly certain it's right and the same way I previously ran it. The spacers are within .001-.002" Based on the photo with the tap measure, I made the top spacer .625". Gonna play with it some more today. Thanks for the help
