I've kind of hit a brick wall with my spyder (believe its a 97) revival and am looking for a little bit of help or anyone that knows if there's any quirky differences from the spyder's to the regular hard tops. I've recently pulled the drive train out of a working driving 2ga awd talon and put it into my spyder and can't get it to fire off or even try to fire off. The Talon I pulled everything from was my winter beater for this last winter, it was running and driving flawlessly, fully serviced, fresh timing belt/tensioner setup, no codes nothing. I noticed the engine harness in the Spyder was the later harness with the CAS on the passenger side of the head, so when I pulled the engine and trans out of the 95 talon I pulled the engine harness with it all to save time. Swapped everything into the spyder, hooked it all up and cranked it over, no start. I noticed one thing right away the fuel pumps not turning on when cranking like its supposed to, so I fed direct power to the pump via the jumper connector on the fire wall engine bay side. Still didn't start, CEL light comes on when its supposed to when ignitions cycled telling me the ecu is working. Which means the injectors can't be firing but all the electronic parts were all swapped over so I'm just lost. The car was a built car at one point so there was some wiring hacking that I had to take care of and there's a walbro 350 in the tank yet, I installed a AFPR to take care of the over run problem. Everything on the car is bone stock other then that.
I'm new to the 2g chassis so I don't know if I'm missing something stupid or if I have a legit failed component some where else that was already with the chassis that I need to replace.
Any suggestions, advise or threads you know will give me a direction to look post it up. Thanks in advance.

if your running the 95 cam sensor on a 97 ecu it wont work without changing a few things. the cam signal will be inverted.
easiest thing would probably be to just use the 95 ecu. then you don't have to mess with anything else.

If you want to run the 97 ecu with the 95 cam sensor take a look here for what you need to do for it to work.

I swapped the engine wiring harness from the 95 into the 97 to solve that problem when I installed the engine.

just changing the harness won't change the fact that the 95-96 cam sensor's signal will be inverted on a 97 ecu.

so you can:
- use the 95 ECU with the 95 cam sensor and you won't need to mess with the plug wires or the injector wires
- use the 97 ECU with the 97 cam sensor (this would be the most work cause you would most likely need to change the intake cam)
- use the 97 ECU with the 95 cam sensor and swap the spark plug wires and injector wires.
