Hey all! I've spent a TON of time reading through this site, particularly in regards to wheel and tires sizes for the 2G. I'd been trying to figure out just how aggressive of a size and offset I could go, even before actually owning a 2G!

Yes, I am a product of the 2000s Fast and Furious era. Yes, that's where I first fell in love with the Eclipse. Yes, these days, I love the look of cars slammed on the ground with flush fitment and deep concave or lips.

So in almost ironic fashion, after finally acquiring my dream Eclipse, it remains completely stock. A bone stock Spyder with less that 65,000 miles on it popped up on Craigslist about an hour from me. I immediately reached out to the seller and headed north to check it out.

Then the whole mess of the COVID-19 pandemic hit. I've only put about 500 miles on the car. It remains unchanged, a lot due in part to a sort of unwillingness to change anything about what I consider a pretty rare find due to its condition, delays in getting any parts for the car due to the pandemic, and a realization that it's just not a great fit for our family needs.

Full transparency, I plan on listing this car for sale here, because I want it to go to a DSM enthusiast who will truly appreciate it.

Welcome to the forums! 65k is reallt low mileage for these cars.
Yeah it was a wild find! The car was within same family from 1997 - 2018 and was their sunny weather cruiser (and we don't get a lot of sunny weather in WA state haha) so it saw the majority of its miles during that time!

Welcome! Congrats on the Spyder!
Thanks! You've got a nice Spyder there as well!

I bought this car last night. Super happy to get it. It's almost too nice to the point I'm going to be cautious about what days I take it out of the garage.

Huge thanks to Mason for letting me come buy this from you. I could tell you care about the car and are happy its in an enthusiast's hands.

My wife had a 97 spyder gst about 5 years ago that was nice, but not this nice. It was an auto though and not what our family needed at the time. We didn't have funds for a new car for her so we had to sell it and I've regretted it up until this day. So happy to have this, honestly can't believe how clean the car is.

I'm glad you're loving the car! Really happy it's gone to an enthusiast who will care for it. Leaves me with no regrets about selling it! Take care!
