I have a '96 GSX that I am considering trading for a 2G GST. I'm never going to build the GSX, partially because of their steadily increasing value. It's basically stock with the exception of a 3" turbo back exhaust, hard SMIC pipes and an Injen intake.
My questions would be;
- would I even notice the difference in awd vs fwd with 250-300 hp?
- what "quality" of GST would be a fair trade for an unmolested, not rusty GSX? I would love a small 16g with supporting mods
- are AWD swapped Spyders cheaper than GSX or GSTs? I would love one just for the uniqueness
I drive my GSX about 3k miles a year. I know I want something a little more built without the guilt of molesting a GSX. Mileage is around 111k. My expectation would be a driver. No "just needs a tune".
