Hey guys and gals. I'm having an issue getting my passenger motor mount and plate in my GST spyder (manual transmission.) when I was waiting on my head at the shop to get pressure checked, I decided to undertake a bushing swap job since i had easy access to the rear and passenger bushings and the driver side was already out. When removing the mount for passenger side, i was unlucky enough (due to no fault but my own for lack of research) to snap the two studs on the mounting plate (i assumed they were threaded studs. they WERE NOT) so i was able to just pull the old mount out. Now, i am attempting to put the new one in.(energy suspension poly bushing) and i just cant get the frigging thing in. i get the mount and plate low enough to ALMOST clear the underside of the mount on the car body, but it keeps bottoming out on this stud! i am at my wits end and i'm completely clueless at this point. I've tried it with the plate mounted in first, and trying to slide the bushing in. I've tried the plate and bushing together, i've tried the bushing its self and trying to slide the plate under. NOTHING! just how DO i get these things in?!? Drivers side is still out, and i'm afraid to loosen the bottom front roller mount because theres only about a half in clearance from the cross member. Is the stud i keep getting snagged on suppose to thread out in order to get them in? (i've learned to try and back out something thats not suppose too.) Any suggestions? I've spent about 8 hours on this and i'm completely lost.... pictured is the stud i keep getting hung up on as well as my new plate.(i managed to get ahold of one on the classifieds.)

the studs on the plate? or that stud of which i am referring to? or do you just mean all of them in general? ROFL
I cut them all down, they are there for easy alignment in the plant during assembly, I find them to be useless and a pain to get around in stock form.
